What are spending limits?
Spending Limits let account admins define how much each user can spend over a set period of time. Limits can be configured daily, monthly, or yearly, and applied across the entire team or tailored per user. This gives teams greater control, consistency, and oversight over their budgets.
How do spending limit time frames work?
Spending limit timeframes define when your users' limits will reset.
Daily - Daily spending limits reset at 12 AM in the user's timezone.
Monthly - Monthly spending limits reset on the first of each month.
Yearly - Yearly limits are reset on the first of each year.
Note: The spending limit is deducted at the time an order is placed, regardless of the scheduled send date.
What are the different types of spending limits?
Team spending limits - Team spending limits are set in your team's settings and will automatically apply to all team members. This makes managing the budgets for a large number of users quick and easy.
Individual spending limits - Individual spending limits are applied per team and set on a user-by-user basis. These limits allow admin to fine-tune individual limits and supersede the team's overall spending limits.
How to set spending limits for your users
Team spending limits
Use the settings wheel to navigate to your account settings, and click Manage Teams on the left menu bar.
Select the team that you'd like to apply spending limits to.
Skip to the Billing & Shipping step, and enter the team's limits.
Individual spending limits
Use the settings wheel to navigate to your account settings, and click Manage Users on the left menu bar.
Select the user(s) you'd like to add spending limits to and click Manage Individual Spending.
Enter the limits for your users and click Save Spending Limits.
You can also manage and review a user's spending limits by clicking their name from the Manage Users page to access their user profile.
