Team structures

Putting your users into teams is an easy way to create separation between different groups within your organization. Teams follow a hierarchical structure that allows permissions to be assigned by the parent team while still being segmented as their own.

How to create teams

  • From the Manage Teams section of your account settings. Click the Create Team button at the top right of the page.

  • Select a parent team for your new team to be set up under. If this is your first team, the only choice will be the Default Team.

  • Apply settings and share assets as needed.

Team settings

When creating a team, you can set various options for your users. These settings are divided into three key areas: Recipients, Campaigns & Designs, and Billing & Shipping.

  • Recipients: To prevent users with Gift Only permissions from sending gifts to unauthorized recipients, you can share a group of approved recipients with them. Any changes you make to your shared groups will affect any teams with access to the group. If your Gift Only users need the ability to create and manage users themselves, you can activate the Manage Users toggle.

  • Campaigns & Designs:

    • Campaigns: Sharing campaigns with your teams limits users to only those campaigns, enabling you to control the details of each gift and see how much each team is utilizing the campaign.

    • Designs: Sharing designs lets Team Admin create campaigns that align with your brand image. Designs can be shared individually or by category

Note: If you don't share a campaign with a new team, an admin will need to create a campaign within that team.

  • Payment Methods:

    • Billing

      • Checkout: If checked, users will not be prompted for a credit card at checkout

      • Payment Card Sharing: If checked, users may only use their own credit or debit cards. If left unchecked, you can assign a shared card to the team.

    • Shipping: Limit where users are able to ship their physical orders by sharing saved shipping addresses.

Note: Payment method settings affect all users in the team regardless of their role.

Changing teams

There is no limit to how many teams a user can belong to. If you're a member of more than one team, it is important to change to the appropriate team before sending gifts, adding campaigns, or saving recipients. To change teams, simply click the profile icon on the far right of the top menu bar and then Change Teams.
