Individual vs. Team Wallets

There are two ways to manage funds amongst your team. Learn how each works, and which is right for your organization

What is your Giftogram Wallet?

Your Giftogram Wallet is where the funds deposited into your account are stored. There are two types of wallet configurations you can choose from: Individual Wallets and Team Wallets

Individual Wallet

Using individual wallets means that users in the same account all have their own wallets to draw from. In Individual Wallet mode, admins can fund their account directly and transfer funds to other users when needed.

Individual Wallet mode is best suited for teams where users will be funding their accounts separately, but still want to leverage the other benefits of working with a team, such as shared campaigns, designs, and recipients.

Team Wallet

Using a shared team wallet allows the members of a team to draw from the same shared balance. An admin can still replenish balances, but funds will be deposited to the team where the deposit was initiated, not the individual. Funds can still be transferred, but only between other teams in the account.

How to change your wallet type

Note: You must be a Super Admin to change your account's wallet type.

  • Use the settings wheel to navigate to your account settings, and click Admin Settings on the left menu bar.

  • Under Billing Settings, turn the Use shared team funds setting on to use Team Wallet, or off for individual wallet.
